Configuring USB Audio

These instructions are described in greater detail here.

Create the sound configuration file (it should be blank):

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

Enter the following three lines:

options snd_usb_audio index=0
options snd_bcm2835 index=1
options snd slots=snd-usb-audio,snd-bcm2835

Save the changes using Ctrl-X, Y, Enter.

The USB Audio device should work after the next reboot.
